This project improved dairy management practices for resource poor women farmers and their families.
Together with a dairy expert, they brainstormed how best to use local resources to develop better feeding regimes improve the health of cows and therefore increase milk production.
These included making and using mineral blocks made from local materials as well as propagating and planting backyard fodder and shade trees.
The project ran until August 2016 and will be expanded to more dairy women farmers, subject to resources availability.
